Caffeine extraction is a game of variables—your gear, grind, and ratio all matter. Here’s how to interpret our lab-verified ranges to dial in your performance.

  • Espresso:
    • The Profile: High intensity, small volume. The fastest route to focus.
    • The Dose: Ranges are based on a standard 1.5–2.0 oz double shot (1:2 ratio).
  • Drip / Pour-Over:
    • The Profile: Your daily driver for steady, clean clarity.
    • The Dose: Ranges are based on a standard 10–12 oz cup (1:16 ratio).
  • Cold Brew:
    • The Profile: Ultra-smooth, high-yield strength you can prep ahead.
    • The Dose: Brew a concentrate (1:5), then dilute 1:1 with water or milk for your final serving. Our ranges account for both stages.
  • Phin:
    • The Profile: Syrupy, concentrated clarity with a surprisingly gentle finish.
    • The Dose: Ranges are based on a 4–5-minute brew (1:10–1:12 ratio).

THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE RANGES

We give you ranges for one reason: honesty. Coffee is an agricultural product, and every brew is unique. A single, fixed number would be a guess. Instead, we anchor our ranges with quarterly lab testing (HPLC) and daily in-roastery checks to give you a real, usable data set you can trust.
